🌳 Ridley Township is getting greener! Commissioner Michael Capozzoli and the Ridley Township Board of Commissioners invite residents to join in planting 500 native trees and shrubs along Stony Creek at Frederick L. Mann Memorial Park on October 18 & 19. This effort, in partnership with the Delaware County Conservation District and Darby Creek Valley Association, will help restore streamside buffers, improve water quality, and create valuable habitat for wildlife. ✔ Volunteer

This project was made possible through a generous PECO Green Region Open Space Program grant. The trees provide much-needed shade and a welcoming enhancement for the community. We are happy to announce that we have received a generous grant of $5,000 from the PECO Green Region Open Space Program for our South Swarthmore Avenue shade tree project. We are very grateful for PECO’s funding contribution to our project. The planting of the trees will commence Fall of 2022. Thank you to PECO for their generosity and continued support of our efforts to improve our parks.

The Board of Commissioners and Parks and Recreation Department are excited to showcase our new Pickleball Court, located at Mann Field in Folsom. Unfortunately, due to weather and temperature requirements, the surface finish and painting cannot be completed until the end of April/beginning of May. But the net is up, and the court is lined, so feel free to use it in this beautiful weather! 🥒🎾💚
