Ridley Township residents, clear out those old files.
The Board of Commissioners is hosting a free Community Shredding Event on Saturday, October 31 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Municipal Building, 100 E. MacDade Boulevard.
Bring anything with personal information on it. Old tax returns, cancelled checks, bank statements, anything with a Social Security or account number. J and K Secure Shredding will destroy it on site while you wait.
A few guidelines:
Limit 5 boxes per household
Staples and paperclips are fine
No plastic bags, metal binders, binder clips, or spiral notebooks
No electronics
Ridley Township residents only. No businesses, please.
This is a useful community service, especially for safely getting rid of old documents containing personal information. The clear guidelines make it easy for residents to know what they can bring. I also noticed the bleach ichigo costume while browsing other topics online.
This is such a useful event—on-site shredding by J and K Secure Shredding while you wait is a nice touch, and the 5-box limit plus no plastic bags rule is good to know before heading to the Municipal Building on Oct. 31 from 9–11 a.m. I’ll pass it along to my Ridley Township neighbors who still have old tax returns and bank statements stacked up.
