REMINDER: Fireworks Ordinance

An important reminder from the Ridley Township Board of Commissioners regarding fireworks.

In 2019, the Township passed a Fireworks Ordinance which, in part, states:

💥 It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 18 to possess or use consumer fireworks.

💥 Consumer fireworks may not be intentionally ignited, discharged or thrown on public or private property without the express permission of the owner and definitely not within 150 feet of an occupied structure.

💥 Consumer fireworks may not be used, ignited, or discharged after 10:00 pm.

💥 The use of consumer fireworks shall be in strict compliance with the provisions of Chapter 190 – Noise and Nuisances of the Code of the Township of Ridley and all other applicable ordinances.

💥 Any violation of the provisions of the ordinance is subject to fines up to $1,000.00 plus court costs.

If any residents experience any issues, please dial 9-1-1. Our police have a better chance of stopping the activity if they know about it at the time it is occurring.
