SEPTA Grade Crossing Renewal Work - July 28th through July 31st

SEPTA will be renewing the Woodland Avenue grade crossing just before Morton Station along the Media-Wawa Regional Rail Line beginning 9:00 PM Friday, July 28th through to 6:00 PM on Monday, July 31st.

In order to facilitate construction, Woodland Avenue will be closed to all vehicular through-traffic at the intersection of the SEPTA Railroad tracks for the duration of the project. Detour signage will be displayed two weeks prior to the closure on Friday, July 14th.

Traffic Detour

• Woodland Avenue northbound traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Kedron Avenue and MacDade Blvd onto MacDade Blvd; east on MacDade Blvd to South Ave; north on South Ave east on Providence Rd to Bishop Ave; north on Bishop Ave to Baltimore Pike; west on Baltimore Pike to end at the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Woodland Ave

• Woodland Avenue southbound traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Woodland Ave and Baltimore Pike onto Baltimore Pike; east on Baltimore Pike to Bishop Ave; south on Bishop Ave to Providence Rd; west on Providence Rd to South Ave; south on South Ave to MacDade Blvd; west on MacDade Blvd to end at the intersection of MacDade and Woodland Ave

SEPTA is committed to providing safe, reliable service to our customers and the communities we serve, and this project is necessary to allow SEPTA’s in-house forces to renew the grade crossing at Woodland Avenue. The new rail will create a smoother ride for trolley riders and motor vehicle traffic alike.

SEPTA greatly appreciates your patience and understanding while these important improvements are being made.
