Support Sammi and the Kelly Family 11/18

🚨📢 A Message from Ridley Township 6th Ward Commissioner Mike McCrea and 1st Ward Commissioner Rick Saraceni 📢🚨

Ridley Township neighbors, family, and friends – A 12-year-old girl from Leedom and her family are in need of our support.

Leedom Fire Company Board Chairman and past Fire Chief Mike Kelly, along with his wife Linda, have been an integral part of the Leedom community for many years.

Recently their daughter Sammi was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a neurodegenerative disease, similar to Alzheimer's but in children.

Since the diagnosis, the Kelly family has been working tirelessly with research departments, doctors, and foundations to see what can be done to help save Sammi. An application was accepted on behalf of the family by The Delco Group to try and make some of Sammi's dreams come true.

💚 Please join us on Thursday, November 18th, around 6/6:15 p.m. at 203 Lynn Road in Leedom to help celebrate this strong and beautiful little girl!

🙏 Unable to join us on Thursday? Please consider donating and sharing Sammi's story: https://give.curesanfilippofoundation.org/campaign/sammi-kelly-or-fighting-to-cure-sanfilippo/c356299.

👍 Please also follow Sammi's journey on Facebook at Flying to Neverland with Sammi, a Sanfilippo Journey.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and consideration. Your support enables life-saving research to continue until a cure is discovered.

Ridley Township is here to support you every step of the way, Sammi.💪💚
